Yan'an Tourist Service Center

The project is located in the core urban area of Yan'an. Due to the lack of holistic planning over the years, lots of cave dwellings were disorderly built on the hillside of Baota Mountain by local residents, which severely damaged the mountain's ecology. The architects proposed to approach the project based on the core concept of integrating site memories into design, including: integrating mountain and river and restoring natural ecology; creating a landscape architecture to blend into the natural surroundings; using regional materials and inheriting local cultural context.
